Yoga Teacher Training Course with FRYOG (Friends of Yoga )
This course is for anyone who has considered becoming a yoga teacher or is interested in taking their yoga journey to the next level.
The course is run over two years. A maximum of ten students are accepted on each course so that individual attention and support may be given. The course includes asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra, and yoga philosophy.
Prerequisites You need to have been practising yoga for at least two years to apply. Please contact Tulsi for further details including a history of your yoga interest and why you wish to teach. An interview will be arranged for all applicants before they can be accepted.
Diploma course outline:
At the end of this course you should:
Have increased your knowledge and experience of all aspects of yoga
developed a comprehensive, holistic self practice
understand what makes a good teacher
have an understanding of the history and theory of yoga
be able to teach a class of mixed ability students safely and confidently
Course Format
The course will run over day workshops starting at 8.30 and finishing at 5.30, on either a Saturday or Sunday and two residential weekends (6 pm Friday to 4 pm Sunday).
At the end of each workshop homework will be set relevant to the topics covered that day. It is recommended that you try and cover each stage of work as it is due – it will be difficult to catch up.
In addition to the homework set each student is expected to work with their own daily practice (approx 45 mins to 1 hour daily), attend a regular yoga class and read appropriate course books and preparatory material.
