Regular classes

Weekly classes are offered for all levels of ability. Regular attendance is advisable, especially for beginners to ensure you have a good foundation in yoga.

Satyananda yoga classes emphasise the spiritaul and meditative side of yoga and classes include postures (
asana), breathwork (pranayama) and deep relaxation (yoga nidra) or meditation, appropriate to the level of the class.

Within each class you can expect to find some initial settling time and/or chanting, 45 minutes of posture work, 15 minutes of pranayama (breath work), 25 minutes of deep relaxation or meditation. Classes follow a theme throughout each six or eight week blocks, and although the structure of the class is similar each week the contents takes you through a journey of progression and self awareness.
